It is often represented in the brass weights once used in Ghana and Cote d&#39Ivoire to measure gold dust. Our jewelry and accessories featuring the entire mythical, magical fish are easily recognized, while the earrings inspired by the fish tail may not be as identifiable, are taken from a brass weight in the collection of the Smithsonian&#39s National Museum of African Art.
