A sourdough Panettone, with icing containing dark chocolate, pieces of Cioccolato di Modica, alimentary 18-carat gold leaves on its surface, and a cream consisting of selected Sicilian pistachios. It is called ‘18 Carati’ (18 Carats), and it is an original idea proposed by Bonfissuto Sicilian Fine Food, a young company at Canicattì, in the province of Agrigento – Sicily. Its Panettone is the result of an original research carried out in order to innovate the perception of this sweet, whose dough is enriched by such excellent food as Cioccolato di Modica, Pistacchio di Bronte, Fragoline di Ribera, and gold leaves.
Vincenzo Bonfissuto says: «The strength of our Panettone is its softness, its natural leavening, its important visual impact due to its refined decorations, flavour, and fragrance, achieved through the use of our typical Sicilian products. We have produced Panettone al Pistacchio, for 4 years, and thanks to the excellence of the Italian raw materials with which it is produced, we are able to export it abroad and market it thanks to specialized buyers, restaurants, wine bars, high-level delicatessens, and also by means of private companies, who require it for their corporate gifts. Alongside with the quality of our product, we have taken care of the presentation, with special attention to detail, from icing to decorations, to elegant gift boxes, which makes our Panettone a suitable gift for special occasions, for celebrating with class and good taste».
